About the team

We are three physiotherapists who share a former merchant's house on the Haverwerf. The practice opened in 2014 with one treatment room and a simple idea: take the time to understand the person before treating the complaint. We still book every first visit for a full hour.

We meet every Tuesday morning to talk through the cases we are stuck on. If one of us is not the right person for what you need, we will say so and bring in a colleague.

Lotte Verhaegen

Lotte founded the practice after ten years at a rehabilitation department in Leuven. She mostly sees people with long-term back and neck complaints, and has a particular interest in helping them trust their body again after months of pain.

Jonas De Smedt

Jonas treats runners, cyclists and weekend footballers, and everyone recovering from knee or shoulder surgery. He still runs the Dijle towpath before work, which he says keeps him honest about his own advice.

Amina Rahimi

Amina specialised in pelvic floor physiotherapy at KU Leuven. She works with women during and after pregnancy, and with men and women of all ages who have pelvic pain or continence problems. Her sessions take place in a separate, quiet room at the back of the house.

The room

There is no waiting room with a television and no row of machines. You will find three treatment rooms, a small exercise space overlooking the water, and usually a pot of tea.
